The idea of creating a ‘box museum’ was stimulated by the level of interest in temporary displays at public events at the Roman Lakes. The ten Perspex boxes would be displayed outdoors at the Roman Lakes site and have regular displays relevant to local ecology and heritage curated by various local groups and organisations giving an insight into the rich inspiration which our valley holds.
The Rural Cultural Foundation aims to work with various existing local interest groups and specialists to curate these displays.
